Deployment Options

Two controlled deployment models. Same core system.

Both models are built to keep facility data out of publicly accessible AI tools and consumer AI platforms. Which one fits depends on your facility's size, IT capacity, and security posture, and the assessment helps confirm which is the right starting point.

Closed Local

Hardware at Your Facility

The system operates inside your environment. Under the Closed Local model, audio, transcripts, policies, and generated records are not transmitted to Nextus Titan infrastructure for processing.

  • Audio, transcripts, policies, and generated records remain on facility-controlled hardware
  • Maximum local control over the operating environment
  • No dependency on Nextus Titan infrastructure for day-to-day processing
  • Well suited to facilities with dedicated space for on-site equipment

Best fit: larger county jails and state correctional facilities, or any environment where maximum data locality is a hard requirement.

Secure Private

Nextus Titan Secure Infrastructure

Audio, transcripts, policies, and generated records are processed on Nextus Titan-controlled secure infrastructure, accessed through a dedicated encrypted connection with facility-specific data separation.

  • Faster to set up, with no on-site hardware to install or manage
  • No dedicated IT staff or equipment space required at your facility
  • Significantly more flexible for future upgrades, added redundancy, and expanded compute, since changes happen on Nextus Titan-controlled infrastructure rather than depending on what a given facility's site can physically support
  • Facility-specific data separation on dedicated, access-restricted infrastructure

Best fit: small and mid-sized county jails, or any facility that wants faster deployment and easier long-term scaling without managing hardware on site.

Side-by-side comparison

Factor Closed Local Deployment Secure Private Deployment
Where data lives On hardware physically stationed at your facility On Nextus Titan-controlled secure infrastructure, with facility-specific data separation
On-site hardware required Yes No
Dedicated IT staff needed on-site Helpful, not always required Not required
Typical setup time Longer. Depends on site readiness and installation Faster. No on-site hardware installation required
Future upgrades and redundancy Constrained by what the facility's site can physically support More flexible, since upgrades happen on Nextus Titan-controlled infrastructure
Best suited for Larger facilities, or facilities requiring maximum data locality Small to mid-sized facilities, or facilities without dedicated IT resources

Neither model is objectively "better." The right choice depends on your facility's size, IT capacity, and security requirements. The Free AI Readiness Assessment is designed to help confirm which deployment model fits before any formal proposal is made. There is no requirement to know the answer before you start. Final deployment terms are confirmed in writing before implementation.
